Test Tank
Our lab test tank allows for in water experimentation with our robotic platforms as well as experiments to study the transition between air and water for our aerial aquatic systems. The tank uses a UV filter to for cleaning meaning no chlorine or salt is needed. It is approximately 12m x 5m x 1.5m and has rails for towing tank experiments in the future.

We have access to a windshape fan array for flight characterization and testing. It can produce windspeeds of upwards of 15m/s and simulate complex flows with different windspeeds for different fan sections.
Optitrack Motion Capture
We use Optitrack motion capture for tracking our robotic platforms during testing. We have 8 PrimeX 22 cameras which can be used for tracking above our test tank and by the windshape.
